Marky Ramone, former drummer for the band Ramones, performed in Curitiba, Brazil on April 1st, 2025.
The show took place at Tork N' Roll, in celebration of the 10th anniversary of Hard Rock Cafe Curitiba.
What happened?
The show was part of the Blitzkrieg 2025 Tour, which celebrates the legacy of the Ramones.
Marky Ramone joined the legendary Ramones in 1978 and left his mark on the albums "Road to Ruin" (1978) and "End of the Century" (1980). After the band ended its activities in 1996, he remained active, keeping the punk spirit alive with several projects, including Marky Ramone's Blitzkrieg. The tribute took place shortly before Marky Ramone's amazing show at Tork N' Roll. On stage, the crowd cheered to Ramones classics such as "Blitzkrieg Bop", "I Wanna Be Sedated", "Pet Sematary" and "Sheena Is a Punk Rocker".
Curitiba holds a special place in Marky Ramone's career, having been the stage for unforgettable concerts, such as the one at Pedreira Paulo Leminski in 1994. The City Council's initiative was designed to demonstrate the strong connection between the musician and the city. According to the unanimously approved congratulatory request, "Marky has a strong connection with Curitiba, one of the cities in Brazil where he has performed the most. He has spoken openly about the affection he has for the local audience, who have always received his concerts with great enthusiasm."
